Abstract:

Flash memory systems have asymmetric read, write and wear characteristics and in the presence of the low energy budget of a sensor device, their usage requires careful design and thought. In this paper, we propose a design for an indexing scheme that works along side with these characteristics to support different types of queries for data retrieval while ensuring low energy consumption, low latency and high lifetime of the flash device.
