Research Statement
During my PhD I was researching new algorithms for estimating
correspondencies between a pair or a set of shapes. In parallel to that
direction I was contributing to multiple rendering related projects. My
passion lies in the developing of very fast and scalable algorithms
which are in best case portable to the GPU.
My current research is in the field of shape analysis and
shape understanding. I am researching ways to understand shape structures and in particular
utilize symmetries found within shapes for the goal of shape
understanding.
